mini thorn tactical

I wanted a small, robust knife for neck, belt or pocket carry and with its ergonometric grip, the Mini Thorn Tactical fits even large hands and the deep curve prevents the finger from contacting the cutting edge. I offer a wide choice of grip scales, ranging from selected wood to titanium and glass fiber composite. For an even slimmer knife, the grips are easily removed.

I chose Sandvik’s nitrogen alloyed 14C28N stainless steel for these blades. It is a fine grained stainless providing excellent cutting and edge holding without being brittle. All knives are tumble polished to a fine surface finish and laser engraved with model name, steel type and my logo.

I just can't resist making titanium grips at some point in time for just about every knife I've ever made more than one of. Here they are for the Mini Thorn Tactical, in this case flame anodized a deep blue / purple. These are all sold out.

Ranger Green G10 grips have been a favorite of Mini Thorn Tactical buyers. I still have a few of these in stock for immediate sale.

Buyers have also been fond of another shade of green: Toxic Green to be exact. These grips are machined from same type of acetate used to make eyeglasses frames. These are sold out.

The Mini Thorn Tactical is a versatile little knife. The grips may be removed and a rubber grommet installed in their place. That makes the knife even slimmer and still remarkably secure in the hand. The knife shown is one of the pre-production hand ground prototypes I made and sold.

I love Cocobolo wood! It is easily machinable, very stable and looks great. What more can you ask for in a wood? All Cocobolo are sold out.

He's a Mini Thorn Tactical with matt stonewashed titanium grips. The Kydex sheath is made to accept a Spyderco Gclip for belt carry.

Of coarse textured black G10 is always a winner when used an anything tactical ... here it is on the MTT.

He's another look at a Mini Thorn Tactical with Cocobolo grips ... what a difference these grips make!
