WilkinsGRIP Products

WilkinsGRIPs are a series of grip replacement kits I created and manufacture for selected, high-quality, production folding knives made by Benchmade Knives, Inc. and Spyderco, Inc. No WilkinsGRIP product requires modification of the original factory knife and the factory grips may be re-installed at any time.

The original WilkinsGRIP BMG X2 fits Benchmade’s large Griptilian® folder. The WilkinsGRIP BMG mini RL fits all Mini Griptilian® folders. The WilkinsGRIP D4 fits all Spyderco Delica 4 folders and the the WilkinsGRIP N_Dura4 is designed for Spyderco’s Endura 4 Series. Currently all WilkinsGRIP D4 grips are sold out and future production is uncertain.

Instead of simply copying the factory grips in another material, I create an original design that fits the internal components of the factory knife. Install a WilkinsGRIP and your production knife becomes a new, exclusive folder. The pocket clip can be attached on either side of the WilkinsGRIP for full ambidextrous carry just like on the stock folder.

Both Benchmade and Spyderco make excellent products right out of the box. Try one fitted with a WilkinsGRIP and I think you’ll agree that I’ve made their great knives even better!

The WilkinsGRIP BMG mini RL fits all Mini Griptilian® folders just like its predecessor! First up for 2016: Flame Orange G10!

Grey Ghost matt titanium is really dressing down in style. Every time I make a run of BMG X2 grips in titanium, this finish is always a favorite.

I only made about a dozen of these Steampunk BMG X2 grips machined from 5mm solid brass with a distressed finish and inlays of various types of acetate. This is the same acetate used to make eyeglasses frames. In the optical trade it is called Havana.

I've been looking for new G10 color combos and recently tried this orange and black layered stuff I call Lava Flow – shown here on a BMG mini Gripset.

When I make grips from Alu I use 6082 T6, which is a stronger alloy than the more common 6061. 6082 machines very well, is highly corrosion resistant and anodizes very well.

One of the newest color combos I've tried is Toxic Green and Black layered G10. The milled Beesting indentations really stand out.

The WilkinsGRIP BMG mini RL grips feature a new, black G10 Spacer and in response to many customer requests, a Lanyard Hole moved back toward the rear of the grips for easy pocket access.

These are from the initial run of N_Dura4 grips. One set in Black G10 and the other in Swimming Pool Green translucent G11.
